Pandit Ayodhya Prakash Pathak ji (Guru JI)

Revered Pathak ji, the visionary, who sowed the seeds of Sangeet Parishad was born in Punjab. He came to Yamunanagar in 1964 and took up a job in Hindu Girls College as a Professor in the department of Music. He nurtured Guru-Shishya Parampara and imparted education to the poor students free of cost. He had immense- love for his country and its rich heritage and culture. He was honest to the core and a man of great integrity. It was his ardent desire to inculcate in the youth an interest in classical music, and he knew that in order to evoke this interest in them and to bring out the latent talent of the youth they would have to be given a platform. So in order to accomplish his mission he took with him his disciple, professor kailash Kashyap and sowed the tender sapling of Sangeet Parishad. His humble financial resources did not stop him from treading the path of his dream. Today this sapling has grown into a full fledged tree. The Sangeet Parishad of Pandit ji has flourished and is today known as Vishvas Sangeet Samiti. Pandit ji was an honest man and dedicated his life to sangeet. He shall remain an inspiration for coming generations.

Ms. Kailash Kashyap

After Ayodhya Prakash Pathak Ji, the founder of Vishvas Sangeet Samiti, passed away the responsibility of shouldering Sangeet Parishad came in the hands of Ms.Kailash Kashyap. Ms.Kashyap was a Professor in DAV college, Yamunanagar where she worked for thirty seven years in the Department of Music. She was an epitome of dedication and compassion. Her insatiable desire for knowledge had brought her in contact with Pandit Ayodhya Prakash Pathak Ji from whom she learnt sangeet. Later,Kashyap Ji came in contact with Revered Swami Vishvas Ji who become her spiritual Guru. It was from Swami Ji that she learnt the immense potential of sangeet and that it could lead to the road to sadhna. This was a turning point in her life. Thus, she was trained by both the Gurus and under the aegis of Swami ji , Sangeet Parishad came to be known as Vishvas Sangeet Samiti. She kept aloft the torch of Vishvas Sangeet Samiti and continued organizing programs for the amateur artists and also brought in renowned artists with the sole aim of fulfilling Swami jis vision - sangeet se sadhna ki aur. Kashyap Ji is no more with us. She left for her heavenly abode in November 2017 and passed on the baton to Sh. Vimal Kashyap, her son.
